My name is Theresa Thomson, and I’m a web designer in Canton, Georgia. I provide web design services for small businesses and startups with a service area in and around the Metro Atlanta area and beyond. My specialty is WordPress Web Design and I create custom-crafted, solidly built websites that are mobile friendly, SEO optimized, and effective at generating leads for your business.

My Background

I have always loved working in the field of technology and have done so for my entire career. Over the years, I have acquired experience designing and developing software, writing business requirements, performing technical training, and managing relationships with external technology partners.

I worked for over 20 years in software design and development for prominent high-tech companies including AT&T and Merck & Company. During my time as a programmer, I worked on a variety of large-scale software development projects and learned to code in several languages.

While working in the corporate world, I had a few opportunities to do pro bono websites for a few groups at my local church. These experiences sparked my interest in web design and eventually led to the formation of Thomson Web Services, my freelance web design business. I love the creative aspect of website design, and I enjoy working with small businesses.

Other Interests

If I’m not sitting behind my desk working on a freelance web design project, I enjoy finding time to run, cook, and work out at my local gym. I am blessed to have a wonderful family, and a crazy but adorable Pembroke Welsh Corgi named Charlie who constantly amuses our family. In fact, one of my daughters recently interned for Thomson Web Services, and I tasked her with creating a website as her final internship project. She created the “Corg of Borg” website to remind our family of our well-loved but absolutely crazy boy nicknamed the “Flying Demon Dog”!

				Ablosutely amazing comany to work with. Our website needed a new design, but also had lot of technical issues in the backend that were impacting overall technical SEO performance. Theresa first designed and launched the new website and then methodically worked with us to steadily resolve all the rechnical issues in backend. I trully appreciate the level of ownership that Theresa has for the work she does. She also work with all the interfaces (like hosting companies, plugin vendors, etc.) on our behalf.
