WordPress Management Plans to Keep Your Website Healthy
A WordPress website contains a variety of software components including the Content Management System (CMS), theme for the design, and various plugins for specialized functionality. Software updates for these components become available on a regular basis containing new features, bug fixes, and security patches, and they must be applied to a website to keep it secure and running smoothly.
Failure to keep a website updated greatly increases the likelihood that it will get hacked, which can destroy your website and damage your online presence.
Overview of Website Management Plans
Thomson Web Services provides three levels of affordable website management plans. You can have peace of mind knowing that your website is cared for while you concentrate on running your business.
The Essential Plan ensures your WordPress site remains updated with all software updates (CMS, theme, and plugins). Your website is monitored weekly for updates, and they are applied to your site and tested to verify issues aren’t introduced by the update. A complete website backup is run before and after the updates, and the backup is stored offsite in a secure location.
This plan is ideal for business owners who want to update website content on their own but want help with managing the technical aspects of the website.
The Premium Plan includes all the features of the Essential Plan plus premium website security features to protect your website from malware and hacking. This includes a high quality endpoint firewall and malware scanner built specifically to protect WordPress websites from hacking. This plan also includes small tasks of up to 30 minutes per month to support your website or business.
This plan is ideal for business owners who want assistance with all aspects of their website, including adding content and managing the technical aspects of a website.
Premium Plus Plan
The Premium Plus Plan includes all the features of the Premium Plan plus small tasks of up to 60 minutes per month to support your website or business. It also includes priority support to ensure your time sensitive website updates are given the highest priority.
This plan is ideal for business owners who want assistance with all aspects of their website and require priority support and additional support time each month for website updates.
Customized Website Management Plans
If your website management needs don’t fit into any of the above three plans, I’ll work with you to create a website management plan that satisfies your specific needs.
WordPress Website Updates
If you maintain your WordPress website on your own, it can be a daunting task to add a new feature to your website. You may not have the expertise or the time to do the work yourself. Perhaps you want to add a photo gallery, calendar, or some other feature to your site. There are typically multiple WordPress plugins you can use to add the new feature, but it can be time consuming and challenging to find the best plugin for the job.
You may be concerned about the state of your website while making these changes. If you apply the updates to the live site, you run the risk of accidentally breaking your website while adding the feature. The best way to handle this is to replicate your live site elsewhere and first add the changes to the site copy. This allows you to test the changes before applying them to the live site.
Adding new features to a website can be time-consuming and tricky if not done right. If you need professional assistance, I provide WordPress website update services at affordable rates.
